What is #StopRansomware Initiative?

#StopRansomware is a joint initiative of The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the Department of the Treasury, and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). As the ransomware attacks across the globe are increasing at a rapid pace, the primary objective of this #StopRansomware initiative is to stop such ransomware attacks and prevent organizations from falling victim to such ransomware attacks. Through this initiative, the CISA publishes cybersecurity advisories and other crucial information for network defenders detailing various ransomware variants and threat actors. In addition, these advisories also enlighten us with the best practices and preventive measures that can help organizations stay prepared to counter ransomware threats.

These #StopRansomware advisories include recently and historically practical tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and indicators of compromise (IOCs) to help organizations protect against ransomware. Visit stopransomware.gov to see all #StopRansomware advisories and to learn more about other ransomware threats and no-cost resources.

Here are some of the latest Cyber Security Advisories (CSA) published by CISA through the #StopRansomware Initiative:

#StopRansomware initiative also allows organizations to seek assistance during an ongoing ransomware attack and report the incident to federal authorities.
